Chair, Feather River Service Center, California Teachers Association. January 2023 to present. I lead a regional council of 36 local chapters across Colusa, Nevada, Sierra, Sutter, and Yuba counties, chairing meetings, setting agendas, and connecting chapter leaders to the statewide governance structure, while building organizational capacity and developing chapter leaders.
Yuba City school board member for four years, president in year three. We set a vision to educate today's students to build tomorrow's world. I worked to restore trust with staff through transparency, open communication, and regular visits to school sites, and to hold the board to our governance norms.
Senior Emergency Services Coordinator, California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). Spring to fall 2020, during peak COVID. I served as finance/admin chief and then logistics chief at Redwood Springs Healthcare Center in Visalia, and supported response sites across the state, from Visalia to Imperial Valley.
Before my current role, I taught in classrooms from 2021 to 2025: mathematics at Marysville High School, fourth and fourth/fifth grade at Arboga Elementary (where I also started a student coding club), fifth and sixth grade at Meridian Elementary, and transitional kindergarten in Woodland.
Education: B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University, with minors in Education, Inquiry, and Justice and in Theology (2019), and a student fellowship at its Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life (2017 to 2019). California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through CalStateTEACH (2021) and a mathematics supplementary authorization from UC Riverside (2023).
